The College of Cape Town is one of the country’s 50 TVET colleges, and one six located in the Western Cape. Prospective applicants are likely to find it to be an option worth considering due to its proximity to urban pollution centres such as Cape Town.

So if you have already applied to study at the institution for the upcoming academic year, this is how you can keep track of your application.

How To Track Your Application For College Of Cape Town

Step 1: To check the College of Cape Town (CCT) application status go to https://www.cct.edu.za/

Step 2: Enter the User ID and Password then click on the “Sign In” button.

Cape Town College Campuses

With eight campuses located across the Western Cape, the College of Cape Town provides a variety of high-quality programmes for vocational education and training to assist economic development and progress, intermediate to higher level skills, which are increasingly being provided through the TVET College sector.

For those that have applied for any of the CCT's courses, students must check whether they meet the admission requirements. This ensures that students apply for courses they are eligible for. 

Cape College Courses

Each course has its admission criteria, however, here are the general requirements for admission:

  • Many courses will require students to have completed Grade 12, however, some courses accept students who have finished Grade 9. 
  • A copy of their ID or birth certificate.
  • Passport number (International students only)
  • a reliable email address, will be used for communication with the college.
  • Students may visit the college website to view the specific admission requirements for each course. Admission criteria show students the level of education needed to complete the course. 

Certain courses may also require students to have passed Mathematics and English at school. These courses include furniture making, civil engineering and building construction, multidisciplinary drawing office practice, etc.
