ISFAP, which stands for the Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme, offers bursaries to students who fall under the missing middle category. Will they fund TVET students though?

When you fall under the missing middle label, it means that you're considered too rich to qualify for funding from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) but too poor to afford to pay for your fees yourself.

This is where ISFAP can help.

ISFAP is a support and funding model for financially needy students who fall under the "poor" and "missing middle" category of students.

ISFAP only funds students who attend certain Universities and they therefore do not provide funding to TVET students.

The bursary covers students at the following Universities only:

  • Central University of Technology
  • Nelson Mandela University
  • University of Venda
  • Stellenbosch University
  • University of the Witwatersrand
  • University of Pretoria
  • Walter Sisulu University
  • University of Cape Town
  • Tshwane University of Technology
  • University of KwaZulu-Natal
  • University of Johannesburg
