The Central Application Clearing House - usually called Cach - give students who have been rejected the opportunity to enter the university because there was no space,  a second chance of entering.

It assists prospecting students by sharing their matric results with public and private further and higher education institutions across the country, including colleges (public and private),  Technical and Vocational Training (TVET) colleges, universities, Setas and registered private higher institutions.

Institutions with open study places, technical training opportunities, or apprenticeship slots then make them available to the most suitable applicants on the Cach database.

Through CACH, you can receive career advice, referral to other opportunities such as being referred to other universities, TVET college opportunities, artisan development opportunities and other possibilities.

They’ll also help you if you’re not sure about where you should study or which career you want to follow. CACH also works to ensure that students do not become victims of bogus institutions.

Individuals signing up will need to capture their details including the field of study and programme choice, as well as accept and reject offers on the CACH system. Once the offer has been accepted, tertiary institutions will directly contact the student.

If you want to begin studying towards a qualification but have not secured placement in time, then you should consider registering for CACH. 


Some individuals wanted to study but could not secure placement. The CACH system plays a critical role in connecting prospective students to institutions that can accommodate them. 


Do you want to study but don't know where to start? The CACH system was designed to assist students find placement at universities and colleges around South Africa who have available space. 


Approximately one million students are expected to receive their matric results in January 2024. These matriculants may be given the opportunity to study at a tertiary education institution if they register on a system that facilitates the placement of students.  
 


Individuals who have not yet secured placement at an institution of higher learning still have the opportunity to study during the 2023 academic year. However, the platform they can use to secure a place will be closed later this month.

 


The CACH system is used by tertiary institutions to fill available spaces in a course or programme, and also helps students who are hoping to attend university or college to potentially gain entry. The Department of Higher Education and Training has revealed when CACH applications will be considered for 2023.


As the academic year gets into full swing at institutions of higher learning around the country, some students may still have to register to study in 2023. An online system is currently informing students about available space at institutions.

 


Thousands of students hope to begin studying in 2023 after registering on the Central Application Clearing House System. It has now been revealed when their placement applications will be considered.

 


Thousands of students have already registered for academic courses at universities and colleges. However, there are some students who are not registered in any academic programmes. This is where CACH steps in.

 


Thousands of individuals want to enrol in academic programmes at Universities in 2023 but their applications were unsuccessful. A system is available to these students to assist them find an education institution that still has available space.
