As society starts going back to normal, several universities in South Africa have allowed for students to return to campus. Here's a list of universities that will be returning to on-campus learning this year.

University students will be allowed to return to campus just as school learners were able to return to school, as announced earlier this year.

University staff and students will still have to adhere to safety measures in order to stop the spread of Covid-19 amongst students and staff on campus, with some universities mandating the Covid-19 vaccine.

However, not all the 26 universities in South Africa have opened their campus doors due to various reasons.

Nonetheless, here are the universities that have allowed students back on campus:

  • Stellenbosch University
  • University of Johannesburg
  • University of Pretoria
  • University of the Western Cape
  • University of Cape Town
  • Rhodes University
  • University of the Free State
  • Vaal University of Technology
  • University of KwaZulu-Natal

As you all get excited to return to campus, please keep safe, sanitize and follow the Covid-19 guidelines provided by your university and have a great academic year for 2022.
