The Directorate of Public Employment Service (PES) of the Limpopo Department of Employment and Labour has called on job seekers in the province to send their CVs to published emails and officials who work directly with job seekers directly.
The Ministry of Employment and Labour is embarking on this initiative as many people are unemployed or have lost their jobs following layoffs and business closures due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Director of the Public Employment Service Sarah Lepogo said it was an ongoing process with no end date as the ministry is constantly marketing job seekers to potential employers.
She further noted that the majority of the job seekers in the province come from rural areas and do not always have the means to access work centers to upload or submit their documents online or in person.
Lepogo added that the initiative will allow them to upload documents through their phones instead of having to figure out how to navigate the website.
Lepogo however emphasized that the ministry does not promise any job offers but helps job seekers in their job search.
She said a devoted team of representatives have been placed across the province to seek employment opportunities on behalf of job seekers on a regular basis.
We call on our job seekers, regardless of their education level, to upload their curriculum vitae (CVs) to the shared email addresses so that the ministry can try to help them.
She further advised that employment seekers should be aware that the database is national. If they email their CV to Limpopo, it will be accessible in all provinces once it is registered in the database.
