The Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) is an integrated referral service for Post-School Education and Training institutions and students. So if you want to go to University or College, this is for you.

The beginning of the year means people are now scrambling to find a place to study and with CACH, it’s still possible. Perhaps you didn’t get offered a place or your results were better than you expected and you now want to study.

CACH will open up it's services on Monday, 24 January. The sign-up service will then run every day for 24 hours until 31 March.

Through CACH, you can receive career advice, referral to other opportunities such as being referred to other universities, TVET college opportunities, artisan development opportunities and other possibilities.

They’ll also help you if you’re not sure about where you should study or which career you want to follow. CACH also works to ensure that students do not become victims of bogus institutions.

You can access CACH in various ways once it opens for applications:

  • Website: https://cach.ac.za/
  • WhatsApp Chatbot: 078 776 8660
  • USSD: *134*225#
  • Facebook: CACH_SA

Individuals signing up will need to capture their details including the field of study and programme choice, as well as accept and reject offers on the CACH system.

The information you provide will be kept confidential so you won’t have to worry.
