The University of South Africa (Unisa) has opened 2025 late applications

Individuals wanting to study at the country’s largest university can still secure their placement for the 2025 academic year.

Unisa uses an Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) approach to education. This means that students don’t attend any in-person classes and all studying happens online.

Their status as an ODeL institution makes Unisa an ideal choice for many individuals regardless of their personal circumstances, work commitments, or lifestyle.

Unisa 2025 Late Application Dates

Unisa has reopened applications for selected undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral qualifications for 2025.

Students wanting to register for undergraduate qualifications can apply between 13 and 27 January 2025.

Applications for selected undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas are to be re-opened from 13 – 27 January 2025.

The late application period for Unisa postgraduate programmes is also open. Prospective postgraduate students will have until 31 January 2025 to apply for placement.

Applications for selected master’s and doctoral degrees re-opened from 23 November to 31 January 2025.
