The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has released the grant payment dates for February 2025. Millions of people will receive social grant payments in the second month of the year.
Sassa distributes over 18 million permanent grant payments, including the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.
The agency has released the payment dates for February on its website.
Older Persons grants including the War Veterans grants will be paid on Tuesday, 4 February 2025. Disability grants and Children's grants will be paid on subsequent days.
Sassa reminds beneficiaries that they are not required to collect their grant payment on the grant payment date.
There is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.

Grant Payment Amounts for 2025
- Older Persons Grant: R2,190 (R2,210 for recipients aged 75 and older)
- Disability Grant: R2,190
- War Veterans Grant: R2,210
- Care Dependency Grant: R2,190
- Foster Care Grant: R1,180
- Child Support Grant: R530
- Child Support Grant (Top-Up): R530 + R250
Sassa Grant Increases
Annual Sassa grant increases are announced by the Finance Minister during the Budget Speech. These increases are implemented on 1 April and 1 October.
Sassa grant increases for 2025 are yet to be revealed by Finance Minister, Enoch Godongwana. However, we can expect the next Sassa increase to most likely take place on 1 April 2025.
SRD Grant Payment Dates for February
Payments for the SRD Grant will be processed between 22 February and 28 February 2025.
