Sassa distributes over 18 million permanent grant payments, including the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.
People who meet the eligibility criteria for any of these permanent grants are encouraged to submit a Sassa grant application for February 2025.
How To Apply For A Sassa Grant For February 2025
Step 1: Visit The Nearest Sassa Office
Applications for permanent Sassa grants can be submitted at a Sassa office. These must be completed in the presence of a Sassa official.
It is important to note that it does not cost any money to submit a grant application.
People who are unable to visit a Sassa office may designate a family member or a friend to apply for the grant on their behalf. The person must write a letter, which authorises the grant application.
Step 2: Applying For The Grant And Meeting The Eligibility Criteria
Grant applicants must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria specific to the grant they are applying for.
They will also need to provide relevant documentation to support their grant application to complete the grant application process.
Step 3: Receiving Proof Of Application
Following the completion of a Sassa grant application they will be issued with a reference number/receipt. Grant applicants must keep this reference number/receipt safe, as it is the only proof they applied.
Step 4: Receiving The Grant Application Outcome
If the grant application is successful, the beneficiary will be paid from the date on which the completed grant application was submitted. Grant applications are only considered complete once all the required documents have been submitted to Sassa.
It's important to note that this does not apply to the Foster Child Grant. The Foster Child grant is paid from the date of the court order.
Online Applications
