The Independent Examinations Board (IEB) has released the official timetable for the May 2024 matric examinations. This is important information for all Grade 12 learners registered with the IEB registered to participate in the IEB May 2024 exams.
The May IEB exams serve two main purposes for Grade 12 learners. The first is to offer learners who were registered for the previous year's National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams to improve their marks. This could be for improving their marks to meet specific requirements for further studies.
The May IEB exams also allow learners who were absent from the November exams (the main NSC sitting) to take the exams and complete their NSC qualification.

One of the most effective ways of preparing for IEB exams is familiarising yourself with the exam format for each subject. This can be done by practising past exam papers under timed conditions,
Additional learners can form study groups with classmates to discuss concepts and test each other. They can also take advantage of online resources and revision materials offered by the IEB or The Career Portal which lists IEB Past exams papers.
