The National Prosecution Authority (NPA) is the agency of the South African government responsible for state prosecutions.

The NPA has the power to institute and conduct criminal proceedings on behalf of the state; carry out any necessary functions incidental to instituting and conducting such criminal proceedings; and discontinue criminal proceedings.

The NPA has a multitude of positions that need filling on a continuous basis. In order to join their team, search through the advertised jobs.

There is a certain process when applying for jobs within the NPA:

  1. Make your application on a new Z83 form and fill in all fields of the Z83 form; a CV is not permitted on your form.
  2. Remember to quote the reference number of the vacancy you are applying for. You will find this at the end of the job advertisement.
  3. All applications must be submitted to the relevant Recruitment Response email as stated in each advertisement.
  4. Only copies of certified required qualifications, identity document and other listed documents as per the advert, must be included with your application.
  5. All applications must reach the NPA on/or before the closing date. No late applications will be accepted/processed.

Please note: DO NOT contact the NPA directly after you have emailed your application(s) to enquire if your application(s) have been received. If you have not received an acknowledgement of receipt within one week after the closing date, then you can contact the NPA.

If you do not hear from the NPA regarding your application within three months from the closing date of the advert, accept that your application was unsuccessful.

For more information and resources, you can check out the NPA's website.
