After many years without official deliveries to South African customers there was great excitement when Amazon opened their official .co.za website.  Capetonians have been watching the offices for the SA head office going up just outside the centre of Cape Town.  Despite a complete lack of branding on the building everyone in Cape Town knows where the Amazon office is. Such was the excitement to get access to the famous company, and hopefully their special offers.

Black Friday in South Africa this year will be on the 29th November and the local Amazon has promised to be competitive with local online retailers when they make their special offers available.

Not only will their be special offers but they'll also be available earlier in the month of November so bargain hunters don't have to wait until Black Friday. As South African we love to leave things to the last minute, but to avoid the crazy rush, and to make sure your particular favourites are not sold out, it makes good sense to buy early on the Amazon website.

When you are buying your Black Friday specials don't forget that you get free delivery when you spend R500 or more on Amazon.

To see the specials visit the Amazon South African website and view Amazon's daily November special offers.

When doing your Black Friday shopping, on Amazon or other websites, keep aware of the important tips when doing online shopping.

Stay Secure While Shopping For Black Friday

  • Use Trusted Websites: Stick to well-known e-commerce platforms, as Black Friday can bring out scams and counterfeit sites. Check URLs and ensure they’re secure (look for "https" at the start of the web address).
  • Beware of Phishing Scams: Avoid clicking on links from unknown sources. Instead, go directly to the retailer’s website.
  • Check Return Policies and Warranties: Since some deals are final sales, ensure you’re aware of the return policy and whether items come with warranties, especially on electronics.

Take Advantage of Free Shipping Offers and Bundles

  • Look for Free Shipping Options: Some e-commerce sites offer free shipping on Black Friday, either site-wide or on orders above a certain amount. Consider consolidating orders to save on shipping costs.
  • Consider Bundles and Accessories: Some deals offer bundles, like an electronic device with its necessary accessories, which could give you better value than purchasing items separately.
