PGCE Courses

A Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is a course that takes a year to two years, depending on whether you are on full-time study or part-time study.

This course equips its graduates with teaching skills in the classroom and to hone their skills in a teaching subject that they have done during their undergraduate study.

Three phases of speciality:

  1. PGCE Primary: Teach children in primary school. 
  1. PGCE Secondary: Teach high school learners.
  1. PGCE Further/Adult Education: Teach in higher education institutions or adult education classes.

NSFAS will not be funding this course, however you can explore other options to fund your PGCE such as the Funza Lushaka Bursary, Fundi and student loans, just to mention a few.
