Between June and September 2026, College SA is enrolling students for two HR management programmes designed to help you
achieve your career goals.
Both qualifications form part of College SA’s School of Human Resources and develop practical workplace skills. Choose either a higher occupational certificate if you are taking your first step in this field, or an advanced occupational certificate in HR management to further your professional journey.
Invest in your HR career this year
The HR Administrator qualification is an entry-level qualification for students who want to get started in HR and build a solid foundation in HR administration. It prepares you to support the people and processes that keep an organisation running smoothly.
You will learn about recruitment support, employee onboarding, HR record-keeping, payroll-related activities, training administration and HR compliance processes.
Graduates will be able to apply for entry-level roles such as Human Resources Administrator, HR Assistant, Recruitment Administrator, Training and Development Administrator, Payroll Support Administrator, HR Clerk and related roles.
Registrations are now open. To enrol, you will need a Matric or Grade 12 certificate, or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
Take on broader HR responsibilities
If you already have an HR-related qualification at NQF Level 5, or an equivalent qualification, you can apply for the HR Officer programme. This qualification is for students who are ready to take on more responsibility in HR and want to play a more active role in organisational growth.
You will develop expertise in recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, learning and development, and putting HR policies, procedures and compliance processes into practice.
Graduates will be able to apply for roles such as Human Resources Officer, Talent Acquisition Officer, Employee Relations Officer, Human Resources oordinator, Performance Management Officer, and related roles.
How these HR programmes work
Both qualifications are quality assured by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO), with the Services SETA serving as the assessment quality partner.
Students attend compulsory live online classes and receive online learning resources, lecturer guidance, academic support and printed study material.
These programmes require at least 360 hours of relevant workplace experience to complete, which allows you to apply newly learnt skills, gain valuable work experience, and gives you the chance to see how good HR practices shape the workplace.
The HR Administrator programme takes 15 months to complete, while the more advanced HR Officer programme takes 22 months.
