At IIE Rosebank College, all coursework is completed online using RC Learn, a learning management system built on the Blackboard platform. As the semester progresses, you will be expected to submit a range of assignments and projects. Each module will conclude with 2 exams (formative exam and summative exam).

These exams for distant leaning students are called take-home exams. This means it is done remotely and you are free to use the internet and student material provided to you by the institution.

RC Learn

Your question paper will be accessible on RC Learn; you are then required to answer all the questions within a set amount of time. When the exam is over, the test window closes, and the institute receives real-time results.

You have two opportunities to submit your formative and summative assessments to increase your chances of passing the module. This means that if you decide to submit a second submission, the first one will help you make it better. It is advised to pace yourself according to the PAS provided to you on the Blackboard platform.

Your lecturer will view all exams you've submitted on Learn during the week on Friday of each week. Your results will be assessed the following Friday and sent to the campus Results Administrator/Assessment team.

After this, the results will then be released on Friday of the next week. As a result, you can expect your exam results two weeks after the assessment was turned in.

All in all, IIE Rosebank College has an efficient examination system in place for distant learning students. You have access to various support learning services that will help make your life as a distant learning student at the institute easier.
