Woodlands Dairy is inviting applications for its 2026 Learnership Programme, offering unemployed matriculants an opportunity to receive both theoretical and practical training in dairy reception and processing.

This 12-month learnership programme is based in the Eastern Cape and is designed to equip participants with industry-relevant knowledge and workplace experience.

About The Woodlands Dairy Learnership Programme

The Woodlands Dairy Learnership Programme provides unemployed youth with the opportunity to develop skills needed to work within the dairy production and processing sector.

Successful learners will receive training in several key areas of dairy operations, including:

  • Milk reception.
  • The nature and properties of milk.
  • Food safety practices.
  • Housekeeping procedures.
  • CIP (Cleaning-in-Place).
  • COP (Cleaning-out-of-Place).
  • Additional dairy processing modules.

The programme combines classroom-based learning with practical workplace experience, allowing participants to build both knowledge and hands-on skills.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for the Woodlands Dairy Learnership Programme, applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens.
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 29.
  • Have completed Matric (Grade 12).
  • Be unemployed at the time of application.

No previous work experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for school leavers looking to enter the workforce.

Learnership Duration

The programme will run for a period of 12 months and includes both theoretical training and practical workplace exposure.

Participants will gain valuable experience that can improve their future employment prospects within the manufacturing, food production and dairy sectors.
