Mpumalanga Traffic Officer Learnership 2025/2026 Now Open for Applications

The Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison is inviting unemployed youth from the province to apply for the Basic Traffic Officer Diploma Learnership Programme for 2025/2026.

This exciting 12-month learnership offers participants the opportunity to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in Traffic Law Enforcement. Training will take place at the Mpumalanga Traffic Training College in Mkhuhlu (Calcutta), located within the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality.

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R5,000 for the duration of the programme. Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded a Diploma in Basic Traffic Officer (NQF Level 4).

Stipend: R5,000 per month
Duration: 12 Months (2025–2026)
Location: Mpumalanga Traffic Training College, Mkhuhlu (Calcutta), Bushbuckridge Local Municipality
Closing Date: 14 November 2025

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
• A valid Code B driver’s licence
• South African citizenship
• No criminal record
• Medically fit and able to perform strenuous physical activities

Shortlisted applicants will undergo driving and competency tests as part of the selection process. Medical assessments will also be conducted to confirm candidates’ fitness for duty.
