Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Graduate Trainee (FTC). The role is valid for 6 months: Environmental reporting to the Environmental Manager. The positions will be based in Delmas, Mpumalanga

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • The Environmental  graduate in training in support to the Environmental Manager is responsible for the coordination, administration and coaching to successfully manage the ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management system to ensure compliance to environmental legislative requirements, alignment to ISO14001:2015 certification standards and drive improvements at the McCain Foods plants for Delmas relative to the management system.
  • This includes ensuring that operations, activities and processes comply with the Environmental Management System, policies and plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of ISO14001:2015 policies, procedures, legislation and regulation for Delmas.
  • No major audit findings for environmental compliance ISO14001:2015 with relation to internal audits and external audits (Environmental legal compliance audits, WUL audits, ISO14001:2015 EMS audits, Department of Water and sanitation audits and Global Environmental compliance audits).
  • Environmental awareness training
  • Environmental risk management
  • Monitoring and evaluating environmental performance
  • MDI sustainability on Utilities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • National Diploma/Degree in Environmental Management
  • Previous food experience will be advantageous.
