A new Mechanical Fitting Learnership opportunity is now open for applications for candidates interested in building a career in the engineering and mining sector.

The Learnership programme offers practical workplace training combined with theoretical learning to help learners gain valuable technical skills and industry experience.

Successful applicants will receive hands-on training related to mechanical fitting and machining within a mining environment.

Mechanical Fitting Learnership Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to qualify for the learnership programme:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Valid N1 to N3 Certificate
  • Subjects must include:
    • Engineering Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Engineering Drawing
    • Fitting and Machining Trade Theory

Candidates should also demonstrate:

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Honesty and reliability
  • Willingness to work at a remote mining site
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment

What Learners Will Do

Successful learners will be required to complete both practical workplace training and structured theoretical learning activities as part of the programme.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out workplace-related practical activities
  • Participating in all structured learning programmes
  • Attending theoretical and practical training sessions
  • Completing assessment activities linked to the Learnership
  • Following company policies and procedures
  • Devoting full attention to workplace training and development

Learners will also work closely with approved training providers to complete the required practical and theoretical components of the programme.

Applicants must upload the following documents in a single file when submitting their application:

  • Updated CV
  • Certified copy of ID
  • Certified copy of highest qualification

The uploaded file must not exceed 3MB in size.
