Mechanical Fitting Learnership Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to qualify for the learnership programme:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Valid N1 to N3 Certificate
- Subjects must include:
- Engineering Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Engineering Drawing
- Fitting and Machining Trade Theory
Candidates should also demonstrate:
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Honesty and reliability
- Willingness to work at a remote mining site
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
What Learners Will Do
Successful learners will be required to complete both practical workplace training and structured theoretical learning activities as part of the programme.
Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out workplace-related practical activities
- Participating in all structured learning programmes
- Attending theoretical and practical training sessions
- Completing assessment activities linked to the Learnership
- Following company policies and procedures
- Devoting full attention to workplace training and development
Learners will also work closely with approved training providers to complete the required practical and theoretical components of the programme.
