AECI is currently accepting applications for its Chemical Process Operator Learnership Programme based in Modderfontein, Gauteng. This is a valuable opportunity for five candidates to gain hands-on experience and industry-relevant skills in a real-world production environment.
Learnership Overview:
The Chemical Process Operator Learnership is a structured training programme designed to equip learners with the skills needed to operate chemical plant machinery safely and efficiently. Learners will assist qualified Plant Operators and Production Team Leaders in daily operations, and gradually take on more responsibilities as they become competent.
What You’ll Learn and Do:

Receive NQF Level 2 Plant Operation Training.

Assist with the filling and emptying of bags, drums, and bulk containers.

Load and offload raw materials, including bulk bags and liquid chemicals.

Maintain general housekeeping standards across all plant areas.

Operate plant equipment under supervision, progressing to independent operation once declared competent.

Accurately complete production and process documentation.

Work safely at heights and in confined spaces as required.

Maintain a high standard of health and safety compliance in a chemical processing environment.

Be willing to undergo forklift operator training.

Be available to work shifts and overtime when required.
Minimum Requirements:
To qualify for the learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria:

South African citizen aged between 18 and 25 years.

Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science as essential subjects.

Basic computer literacy (MS Office and data entry skills).

Physically and medically fit to work in a chemical plant environment.
