South West Gauteng College is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College which provides education and training in the NQF Levels 2 to 4 and N4 to N6 levels. Both distance learning and e-learning are available at the college.
The college offers “fee-free” learning to South African students with a joint household income of R350 000 per annum or less. The college is great for students who intend on pursuing a vocational career.
Before applying, students need to ensure that they have a valid email address and cellphone number. The TVET College will correspond with the student using these contact details, therefore, it is important that the student enters the details correctly.
During the application process, applicants will be required to upload copies of the following documents:
- Certified copy of Identity Document (ID)
- Certified copy of latest academic results
- Proof of residence
Students are instructed to scan all the documents on a memory stick or computer before they start the application process. No paper copies will be accepted.

- Fill in all your details.
- Upload your documents.
- Submit your application.
Applicants are required to do a placement test. They will receive a reference number and login pin after applying to be able to proceed with the test.
The College will inform the student whether their application was accepted or declined. In the event of a successful application, the student will need to accept or decline the invitation to register.
