The Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme (ISFAP) provides funding opportunities to first-year undergraduate students for 2022 but does not guarantee to fund all applicants.

The funding provided by ISFAP is made available through various donations from the public, as well as the private sector. The bursary covers tuition fees, books, study materials, accommodation, meals and a monthly stipend.

In order to qualify for the bursary, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • Academic achievement and acceptance into the ISFAP partner university of your choice for the relevant degree programme
  • Donor requirements
  • First degrees starting in 2022
  • Funding availability

How to apply

  1. Go to the ISFAP application website
  2. Complete the online application form
  3. Upload supporting documents
    • Certified ID Copy of the Applicant
    • Certified Copy of Latest Academic Results (Grade 11 or Matric)
    • Certified Proof of Income
  4. Download and complete the Consent Form (Applicant and Household Contributors) and certify by the Commissioner of Oaths

Once submitted, your application will be added to a database which will be used to pair qualifying students that match donor/ISFAP criteria. ISFAP will keep you informed regarding the status of your application.
