Regarding this, NSFAS has said "Application results will be communicated to all applicants once NSFAS receives confirmation from the institution that an academic offer has been made to you."
Following this, you will then need to sign your bursary agreement so that NSFAS can disburse your allowances.
Here’s how to check your funding state:
- Log in to the MyNSFAS student portal at the official NSFAS website.
- Input your username, password, and click on SIGN IN.
- Search for Track Funding Progress and click on it.
NSFAS provides bursaries to financially vulnerable individuals who plan on studying or are applying to study at one of South Africa's 26 Public Universities or 50 TVET Colleges.
The bursary covers more than just your tuition fees, as it includes registration, accommodation, transport, books and other student needs.
