The University of South Africa has taken action against companies that have been using the institution's name to scam students.
A statement from the university read:
It has come to our attention that some companies and social media pages have been falsely advertising Unisa online information and various services to assist students. In the process, companies either solicit money fraudulently from students or make money through online advertising with no benefit to students.

The university has emphasized that these companies are in no way associated or related to the university.
Unisa has requested for students to only use official Unisa sites and platforms as any other platforms will most probably provide you with incorrect information and/or act illegally which will be harmful to your studies.
Below are the Unisa platforms for official Unisa information:
Unisa is in the course of handing over the names of the companies implicated for attempting to mislead students to the university's Legal Department.
