If you missed the initial application deadline for postgraduate qualifications at the University of South Africa (Unisa), then you will be pleased to know that the institution has extended the application deadline.

Unisa has decided to re-open its application window for late applications; applications for admission to Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas for the 2023 academic year for limited qualifications has re-opened.

The window has been open from 23 January, 2023 and will close on 8 February, 2023.

The original applications window has been extended as there were spaces available in certain courses.

Applicants have been urged to submit their applications in the prescribed application period and any students who wish to start a new qualification must also apply for admission.

All applications must be submitted online, as no self-help stations will be available for applications at regional offices.

Applicants will need the following:

  1. A valid email address
  2. A valid cellphone number
  3. South African applicants will need an ID number.  Foreign applicants will need their passport number.
  4. Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate)
  5. Application fee of R125 which should be paid once you receive your student number (where applicable).
