The Department of Basic Education has made it clear: if you have any queries, you need to submit them within 30 days of the results being released. Students are urged to make sure their names and ID numbers are correct on their statement of results.
All corrections need to be reported before 21 February 2025.
If you're not satisfied with your results, or if you think there might have been an error, you can apply for a recheck or remark. The fees are R116 per paper for a remark and R29 per paper for a recheck. The deadline for these applications is 21 January 2025.
If you’re still unhappy after a remark or recheck, you can even request to view your exam script for a fee of R220. Just make sure to apply within 7 days after those results are out.
Matric remark results will be released from 14 March 2025, and you can collect them at the same school or exam centre where you wrote your exams.
If you’re thinking about rewriting a paper to improve your results, the May/June 2025 matric exam rewrite is your opportunity. Applications are open and will close on 7 February 2025, so don’t miss out.
