The Independent Examinations Board (IEB) has released their Final 2024 Matric Exam Timetable. This is important news for all Grade 12 learners registered with the IEB participating in the end-of-year matric exams.
The IEB facilitates Umalusi-accredited examinations in all subjects recognised in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) for the schools that are registered with it.
This means that learners from IEB schools receive the same qualifications as those who participated in the Department of Basic Education (DBE) matric exams.
The IEB Matric Exam Timetable
When IEB Matric Exams Start
IEB Matric Exams will commence on Tuesday, 10 September 2024 when learners write their Life Orientation CAT Part B exams. Learners have just over a month to prepare for their matric exams.
However, most of the IEB Matric Exams will be written in October and November 2024.
When IEB Matric Exams Finish
The final IEB matric exam will be written on Thursday 28 November 2024 when learners write their Agricultural Management Practice exam.
