University Merit Bursaries for Undergraduate Students: The Unuversity offers merit bursaries to first time entering students who have performed exceptionally well in their end of year grade 12 examinations. For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office.
HCI Foundation Bursary: Any Honours or Post-graduate Diploma course at a public university. Open to SA and Refugee students. Primarily for bursary recipients who will be returning to university and new applicants at Honours and Post-graduate Diploma level .
The Clicks Foundation bursary fund: A merit-based programme aimed at addressing scarce and critical skills in the retail and pharmaceutical healthcare industry. Confirmed South African citizenship. For students who are registered 2nd, 3rd or 4th year undergraduate Pharmacy student or registered 3rd or final year student in a scarce and critical skills area as defined by the Clicks Group from time to time. Gauteng City Region Academy Bursary: For residents of Gauteng who completed matric. Must be studying or registered and have been accepted at a higher education institution. Must be a South African citizen between 18 and 35 years of age. For more information, visit their website here.
Department of Labour Bursaries: Students with disabilities qualify for (apart from any other bursaries) for bursaries from the Department of Labour and are required to apply directly at the Department for these bursaries.
Funza Lushaka Bursary Scheme: Bursaries are available to enable eligible students to complete a teaching qualification in an area of national priority. Read more on the Funza Lushaka Bursary Scheme here.
NSFAS: NSFAS offers fully subsidized free higher education and training for poor and working class South Africans where there is up to R350,000 household income per year. This bursary includes tuition fees, learning materials allowances, transport allowances and living allowances. More information can be found here.
