When students apply successfully at the Durban University of Technology, students will receive a DUT student email that they can use as a student portal throughout their time at the Durban University of Technology.

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) is ranked 2nd in South Africa and 102 in the world by the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings. The university is situated in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa with 6 campuses which are spread across Durban and Pietermaritzburg.

Formed in 2002 following the merger of Technikon Natal and ML Sultan Technikon, The Durban University of Technology was initially known as the Durban Institute of Technology.

The DUT student email is given to all students upon admission. Here is how you can log into your DUT student email:

  2. Follow the prompts and fill in your email and password

The DUT4Life student portal is used as a way to help students contact the university and gain access to other learning materials. If you have any problems signing into your DUT email you can contact them via email using [email protected]
