The Banking Sector Education and Training Authority (BANKSETA) has announced funding support for qualifying graduates from the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) who have outstanding historical student debt.

The funding aims to assist graduates whose academic certificates have been withheld due to unpaid student debt, allowing them to finally access their qualifications.

Who Can Apply?

The BANKSETA historical debt funding is available to graduates who completed qualifications at VUT in the fields of:

- Accountancy
- Information Technology Management

Applicants must have outstanding historical student debt that is preventing the release of their certificates.

Qualifying Programmes

The funding covers graduates from the following programmes:

- Advanced Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting
- Advanced Diploma in Management
- Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting
- Business Administration
- Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting
- Diploma in Financial Information Systems
- Diploma in Information Technology
- Postgraduate Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting
- Postgraduate Diploma in Management
- Postgraduate Diploma in Management Accounting

Funding Availability

Funding will be awarded to qualifying learners based on:

- Verification of submitted information
- Availability of funding
