Through rigorous regulatory compliance, in-depth feedback from its student and graduate community, and international external benchmarking of undergraduate and postgraduate students, Boston City Campus meets and exceeds the standards, ensuring its graduates are well-prepared for their future endeavors.
Dr. Hendrik Botha, Head of Institution, highlights the multifaceted approach to credibility at Boston City Campus:
Our rigorous adherence to quality is complemented by our commitment to ensuring the long-term sustainability of our institution.
This commitment is underpinned by, for example, but not limited to external annual financial audits prepared and submitted in terms of the Higher Education Act, financial sureties with registered financial institutions, and detailed student information audits together with the twice-yearly uploading thereof onto the National Learners’ Record Database (NLRD), which guarantee transparency and trust.
Boston City Campus personifies taking a proactive stance towards meeting quality standards. This approach ensures Boston remains in good standing with its regulatory bodies and students.
Boston City Campus is registered by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE), and holds additional voluntary accreditations from esteemed bodies such as the British Accreditation Council (BAC) and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
These accreditations underscore Boston’s commitment to operational integrity and the provision of globally recognised
qualifications, which enhance the employability and career progression of Boston graduates. Graduate and Services Survey data for 2022 and 2023 indicate that Boston’s approach to higher education works.
Over 92% of Boston’s graduates expressed satisfaction with the curriculum, and nearly 97% recommended Boston. This, coupled with high satisfaction in student support and resources, highlights Boston's successful role in fostering an environment of continuous learning and advancement, all while blending local relevance and global excellence.
Credit Accumulation & Transfer (CAT) - Innovation and Support for Students from other Institutions
Boston City Campus's commitment to excellence and innovation is further demonstrated by its robust and growing portfolio of qualifications. Dr. Botha emphasises Boston’s dedication to exceeding the expectations of prospective and transferring-in students and re-registering students.
Boston’s online application and registration functionality recently received a satisfaction score of over 95%.
Boston allows students with completed credits from recognised education institutions in cognate (or similar) modules to apply for inbound credit transfers (CAT). This will enable students to save time and money by not repeating modules identical to those already completed at another institution, which aligns with national policy provisions for the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Accumulation and Transfer (CAT).
This is seamlessly integrated into Boston’s online application system (https://enquiries.boston.co.za/Apply) and the registration process.
In conclusion, Boston City Campus continues to set the standard for educational integrity, innovation, and comprehensive student support. With a growing range of accredited programmes and recognitions, Boston City Campus is ready to help you prepare for the challenges of the modern workplace and the competitive global market.
