The University of KwaZulu Natal (UKZN) was formed in January of 2004 after the merger between the University of KwaZulu Natal and the University of Durban-Westville. The university offers many different courses across its five campuses. 

UKZN groups the courses offered into colleges and assigns each of its campuses different courses. 

Students may pursue the same degree under the same college, but attend their lectures on different campuses.
