About the Smollan Learnership Programmes

The Smollan Merchandiser Learnership is designed to equip learners with the skills needed to succeed in retail. Participants will gain real-world experience in stock management, product displays, and customer service while working in retail stores.

Programme details include:

- Salary: R3 500 per month
- Working hours: 9 hours per day (shift-based)
- Job type: Full-time contract
- Start date: ASAP

What You Will Do

As a Merchandiser Learner, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing stock by counting, unpacking, and organising products
- Creating visually appealing product displays
- Ensuring correct product pricing to drive sales
- Maintaining product quality by removing damaged or outdated items
- Assisting customers with product information and queries
- Working with sales and marketing teams to achieve targets
- Keeping the store clean, organised, and customer-friendly

What You Need to Apply

To qualify for the Smollan Merchandiser Learnership, applicants must meet the following requirements:

- Matric (National Senior Certificate) or equivalent
- Strong English communication skills
- Live within 15km of the job location
- Have a clear criminal record
- Own a smartphone
- Be able to provide required documents (ID, SARS letter, bank confirmation)

Please note that successful applicants will be required to use a Vodacom SIM card for work purposes.

Preferred Criteria

While not mandatory, the following will strengthen your application:

- South African citizenship
- Age between 18 and 35
