RBS Insurance Brokers—one of South Africa’s leading independent brokerages—is inviting motivated, unemployed youth to apply for its Short-Term Insurance Learnership. Based in Cape Town, Gqeberha, and Johannesburg, the programme blends structured study with real-world experience, giving you a nationally recognised NQF5 qualification while you train alongside seasoned underwriting and claims professionals.
What the Learnership Offers
You will complete a year-long curriculum that combines classroom learning and hands-on practice in underwriting and claims administration. Throughout the programme you’ll work under experienced mentors, build practical skills that employers value, and earn a monthly stipend of R5 000, plus R250 for data and R750 for travel—totaling R6 000.
Entry Requirements
Candidates must be 18 – 35 years old, currently unemployed, and permanently based in Cape Town, Gqeberha, or Johannesburg. A National Senior Certificate with at least 40 % in Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy and 40 % in English (Home or First Additional Language) is essential. To ensure equal opportunity, applicants must not have participated in an INSETA learnership within the last 18 months.
