Premier is inviting unemployed graduates to apply for its Human Resources Labour Relations Graduate Programme, offering valuable workplace experience in employee relations, labour law compliance and human resource management.

This 12-month graduate programme is designed to provide graduates with practical exposure to labour relations processes while working within one of South Africa's leading food manufacturing companies.

About The Premier Human Resources Labour Relations Graduate Programme

Successful candidates will be based at Premier's corporate office and will work across different regions while reporting to the Manager: Group Employee Relations.

The programme offers hands-on experience in various aspects of employee relations and labour relations management. Graduates will also have opportunities to support national Human Resources projects and may be required to travel to different business units for broader organisational exposure.

Graduate Programme Responsibilities

Participants in the programme will assist with a range of Human Resources and Labour Relations functions, including:

  • Supporting healthy relationships between employees, management and trade unions
  • Assisting with workplace grievances, disputes and disciplinary processes in line with company policies
  • Supporting compliance with labour legislation, including the Labour Relations Act (LRA) and Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
  • Preparing documentation for disciplinary hearings, consultations and other labour-related forums
  • Assisting with collective bargaining processes, including wage negotiations
  • Supporting employee relations initiatives across the business

Premier Graduate Programme Requirements

To be considered for the Human Resources Labour Relations Graduate Programme, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Completed Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or Labour Relations Management

A valid driver's licence will be advantageous but is not mandatory.

Experience Requirements

No formal work experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for recent graduates looking to start their careers in Human Resources and Labour Relations.
