Pepkor Lifestyle is offering an exciting Wholesale and Retail (W&R SETA) funded learnership for young South Africans looking to gain valuable work experience in the retail sector. This 12-month learnership programme is available across all nine provinces and provides an excellent opportunity to kick-start your career.

The programme is hosted by Pepkor Lifestyle brands, including HiFi Corporation, Incredible Connection, Bradlows, Sleepmasters, Russells and Rochester. Successful candidates will gain practical, hands-on experience while developing essential workplace skills.

About the Pepkor Learnership Programme

This retail learnership is designed to help unemployed youth enter the world of work and build a strong foundation in the wholesale and retail industry. Participants will receive structured training and real-world exposure in a retail store environment.

The main goal of the programme is to develop skilled individuals who can contribute to the organisation while growing their own careers.

What You Will Learn

During the 12-month learnership, candidates will gain experience in key retail functions, including:

• Assisting customers on the shop floor and delivering excellent customer service
• Supporting marketing activities and maintaining merchandise displays
• Developing English and basic mathematics skills
• Processing payments and recording transactions using POS systems
• Understanding the wholesale and retail environment
• Opening and managing customer accounts
• Controlling stock and minimising losses

Key Skills and Attributes

Pepkor is looking for candidates who demonstrate the following qualities:

Minimum Requirements

• Have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
• Be a South African citizen with no criminal record
• Be willing to participate in a 12-month learnership programme
