IkamvaYouth invites South African unemployed youth to apply for their Internship Programme for 2025.

Interns will be placed in one of IkamvaYouth’s branches across various provinces:

    Western Cape: Nyanga, Gugulethu, Makhaza, Kuyasa, Masiphumelele, and Atlantis
    Gauteng: Mamelodi, Diepsloot, Ebony Park, and Ivory Park
    North West: Ikageng and Mahikeng
    KwaZulu-Natal: Umlazi and Centerville
    Eastern Cape: Joza

Stipend

    Interns will be paid a monthly stipend of R3,840.96

Programme Overview

The IkamvaYouth Internship Programme empowers learners by providing academic support, career guidance, and skills development. As an intern, you’ll gain a deep understanding of IkamvaYouth’s mandate and initiatives while completing relevant courses to enhance your knowledge and employability.

Who Can Apply?

    Unemployed IkamvaYouth alumni and volunteers with Grade 12, a Diploma, or a Degree
    Previous interns are welcome to reapply
    Applicants aged 18 to 34 years
    Candidates not currently enrolled in full-time studies and available for full-time internship
    Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply

Requirements

    Languages: Proficiency in both written and spoken English, plus a working knowledge of at least one other South African language
    Computer Skills: Familiarity with MS Office and Google Email/Drive
    Team Player: Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
    Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
