Heineken Beverages HSE Internship Programme 2026 – Wadeville

Heineken Beverages is offering an exciting HSE Internship opportunity for students who require practical workplace experience in Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) management.

This internship programme is designed for final-year students who need workplace exposure to complete their qualification or meet practical training requirements. The successful candidate will be based at the Wadeville Production site and will report directly to the SHE Manager.

About the HSE Internship

The purpose of the Heineken HSE Internship Programme is to provide hands-on experience in risk management, health and safety compliance, and environmental standards within a production environment.

Interns will gain exposure to real-world safety operations and contribute to maintaining workplace safety standards in line with company policies and national legislation.

Key Learning Areas and Responsibilities

  • Assist, guide and influence on risk, health and safety-related matters.
  • Apply risk management principles and fundamentals.
  • Work with Occupational Health and Safety legislation (OSHACT) and other safety and security regulations.
  • Support compliance with Heineken Beverages risk control standards.
  • Analyse data and situations to recommend appropriate safety solutions.
  • Develop investigative skills in identifying and resolving safety issues.
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate safety-related activities.
  • Communicate and train employees on safety practices at all levels.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Heineken HSE Internship Programme 2026, applicants must:

  • Be studying towards a Degree or Diploma in Safety Management.
  • Be computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Have strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate effective time management.
  • Be able to multi-task and perform under pressure.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be available to commit to a 12-month fixed-term contract.
