Discovery is offering an HR TVET Internship for candidates who have completed their N6 qualification in Human Resources at a TVET college and need workplace experience as part of their qualification.
The Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunity is designed to provide practical human resources experience while allowing learners to apply the theoretical knowledge gained through their studies in a workplace environment.
Discovery HR TVET Internship
The fixed-term internship provides structured learning and development opportunities across various HR functions. Interns will support day-to-day HR activities while gaining practical workplace experience.
What Will The HR Intern Do?
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting talent acquisition activities.
- Performing HR administration.
- Assisting with reporting and data capturing.
- Maintaining and organising HR records and files.
- Providing project administration support.
- Assisting with HR projects and events.
Discovery HR Internship Requirements
Applicants must meet the following essential requirements:
- Have a Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
- Have completed an N6 Human Resources qualification at a TVET College.
- Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
Proficiency in Microsoft may be advantageous.
Skills And Attributes
Discovery is looking for candidates who are able to work effectively with others and provide a high standard of service. Applicants should demonstrate strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, initiative and attention to detail.
Candidates should also be organised and systematic, manage their time effectively and be able to work according to strict service-level agreements (SLAs).
Because the role involves handling HR information, interns must exercise discretion when dealing with confidential correspondence and information. The ability to remain productive in a pressurised environment and maintain a customer-focused approach is also required.
