Are you a young South African looking to kick-start your career in sales, telecoms, or entrepreneurship? 

Blue Label Telecoms, in partnership with U-Belong and Blu Train, is offering an exciting youth employment and training initiative designed to equip candidates with real-world skills for a future in the telecoms sector — and even the possibility of running their own business.

This 9–12 month training programme is open to individuals between the ages of 18 and 28 and aims to empower youth with sales, customer service, and business skills, laying the foundation for potential ownership of a SME telecoms distribution business.

About the U-Belong Training Programme

The U-Belong programme is a practical and dynamic initiative that focuses on upskilling unemployed youth while exposing them to the realities of sales, client interaction, and entrepreneurship in the telecoms industry. Through this programme, participants gain invaluable experience and are mentored to eventually manage their own business.

Key Responsibilities

During the training programme, participants will:

  •     Contribute to and drive field sales efforts
  •     Achieve daily and monthly sales targets
  •     Develop and apply product knowledge during client interactions
  •     Accurately process and record sales transactions
  •     Follow the sales team’s performance standards
  •     Deliver excellent customer service to a broad client base
  •     Work independently and collaborate as part of a high-energy sales team
  •     Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  •     Show resilience, confidence, and a passion for achieving results

Who Should Apply?

Minimum Requirements:

  •     Aged 18 to 28 years old
  •     Matric certificate (Grade 12)
  •     Well-spoken and fluent in English
  •     Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  •     Ability to work independently
  •     Self-motivated and enthusiastic about sales
  •     Able to use a mobile device confidently
