False Bay College is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college which offers vocational, occupational and skills training programmes to equip students with marketable skills.

When you apply to False Bay TVET College it is important that you provide the correct email address in your application so that you can receive the communications which the College sends to all prospective students.

In order to check your application status, you must do the following:

  1. Open the first welcome email from False Bay TVET College to find the Portal URL, AP number and the password.
  2. Click on the Portal URL and login as an 'Applicant'
  3. Use the AP Number and the password when logging in (applicants must manually type this information in the required fields as copying and pasting it from the welcome email will result in an error).
  4. You will then be able to view the status of your application under the 'Offer Status' heading.

This is what each application status means:

  • Active: The College has received your application and it still needs to be verified by the campus admin team.
  • Rejected: This means you have not met the basic programme entry requirements or the programme is full for the current intake. The College will send you a communication regarding this to clarify why you were not granted admission.
  • Offer issued: This means that you have met the programme entry requirements and an offer has been uploaded onto the Portal for you to accept. The applicant will have 5 days to accept this offer from the date that it has been issued before it will expire.

All successful candidates will receive a notification when their offer letter will be issued. It is very important that applicants check their application status so that they respond to it before it expires.

The college selection committee will evaluate all applications that have been received and base the selection of students on the admission policy and students academic results.

Once accepted False Bay TVET College will assist their students with applying for financial aid, such as Nsfas and they provide Open Learning Centres for their students to use.

Find more information on the application process on the False Bay TVET College website.
