Goldfields TVET College is one of the 50 public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges administered in terms of the Continuing Education and Training Act, No 16 of 2006.

The college provides technical and vocational education and training programmes to learners who completed at least Grade 9 at school level and to Grade 12 learners who have not achieved university entry certificates but would like to further their education. 

The institution offers a variety of courses from marketing management and business to educare and engineering and the college has 4 campuses:

  • Welkom Campus
  • Skills Centre
  • Tosa Campus
  • Meloding Satellite Campus

It is important to note that the courses are categorized by campus so make sure to consult their website for more information on what campus offers which courses and programmes.

How To Apply

If you’re interested at studying at Goldfields College here’s a step by step guide on how to apply:

  1. Visit the Goldfields TVET College website
  2. Click on the Admission Systems
  3. Complete the Career Guidance Quiz
  4. Complete a Pre-Entry Placement Test (Its compulsory to answer each question)
  5. Begin the application by selecting “New Course”, “’Existing Student” or “Create a New account.”
  6. Follow all the instruction and complete the application
  7. Upload all the required documents

What Documents Are Needed?

All prospective students will need to upload the following documents in order to apply:

  • Copy of latest results (certified)
  • Copy of student Identity Document (certified)
  • Valid Study Permit (Foreign Nationals ONLY)
  • Evaluation of Results by SAQA (Foreign Nationals ONLY)

The institution has noted that if students require funding from NSFAS, they must also upload proof of income and parents’ / legal guardians’ IDs.

In addition, applicants can also visit any of campuses to book an online application session where a staff member will assist in completing the application.
