Established in 2002, Buffalo City TVET College (BCC) is a government-run college under the Department of Higher Education and Training.
Buffalo City College has four campuses located in the city of East London; these campuses include:
- East London Campus – School of Business
- John Knox Bokwe Campus – School of Engineering
- St. Marks Campus - School of Business and Engineering
- King Street Campus – School of Occupational Training
The institution strives to equip their students with vocational and occupational directed skills to reduce unemployment, poverty and to contribute to the economic growth of South Africa.
BCC says, “Our business is the provision of Vocational Education and Training. Students studying at BCC gain practical and theory career directed skills. This is to prepare them for the world of work or further education and training at Universities.”
The college offers a range of courses in business, engineering, and occupational training. In addition to providing various courses, they also provide deserving students with bursaries to help them financially.
At Buffalo City TVET College, students are also given the opportunity to take part in learnerships and short skills courses.
