Boland College is a South African Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college. The courses offered provide both the theory and practical experience related to a particular vocational field.

This ensures access to job opportunities in a work environment or sector relevant to the student’s vocational specialisation. 

Courses offered at Boland College

Boland College offers a variety of courses as well as learnerships, part-time and skills programmes.

They also offer E-Learning and Student Support Services.

Student Accommodation is available at four of its five campuses. Their accommodation includes three meals per day and free laundry facilities. Boland College provides financial support by providing access to various bursaries.

The courses are offered at levels 2, 3 and 4 of which each is a year long. A student is issued with a certificate on successful completion of each level of study. After completing level 4 a student will be issued with a National Certificate (Vocational).

What are the requirements to study at Boland College?

For the level courses, the minimum requirement is Grade 9 or 10, but students may also enter the programme with Grade 11 or 12. 

It is a three year course and it aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge of the workplace. This will then empower them to make a positive contribution to the country’s economy, productivity and the development of new technology.

For the certificate, the student needs a Grade 12. This is a two year course and it aims to equip learners with the necessary skills required for elementary employment in different industries.
