King Hintsa TVET College is one of 50 public TVET colleges in South Africa operating under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). The college strives to offer their student body the fundamental tools they would need to contribute to the development of South African communities, and the nation’s economic growth as a whole.

King Hintsa TVET College Courses
The college prides itself in is offering exciting, modern, and relevant programmes of study. The programmes and courses on offer are intended to directly respond to the priority skills demand of the country.
National Certificate (Vocational) Programmes
Students who have at least completed their grade 9, can enrol for an industry-based National Certificate (NC) in the following industry specialisations:
- Travel & Tourism
- Primary Agriculture
- Office Administration
- Marketing
- Information Technology & Computer Science
- Hospitality
- Finance, Economics & Accounting
- Engineering & Related Design
- Electrical Infrastructure Construction
- Electrical Infrastructure Construction
- Civil Engineering & Building Construction
Report 191 programmes (N4-N6)
These courses will lead to students being able to claim a National Diploma. Students are required to have completed an NC N3 to qualify to pursue an N4 Level programme, followed by an N5, then an N6.
These programmes are available in these two fields:
- Engineering
- Business Studies
Occupational Programmes
These programmes include Learnerships as well as Short Skills courses.
The Learnerships can be taken in the following specialisations:
- Animal Production
- Wholesale & Retail Operations
- End- User computing
The Short Skills courses can be taken in the following:
- Assistant Chef
- Hot Water Installer
How To Apply
Prospective King Hintsa students should apply by starting with the creation of an iEnabler account:
- Visit the King Hintsa ‘How to Apply’ page and click the orange ‘Apply Now’ button.
- Select ‘no’ on the first two prompts, and then read and accept the ‘Protection of Personal Information Act’ before clicking ‘Next.’
- Then, fill your information in each section marked with an asterisk (*).
- Once you have filled in your information, you will be asked to create a pin. This pin will give you access to your iEnabler account, which is what you will use to complete your application.
- After you have set your pin, complete your application. You should now have a new student number, and the pin that you created.
- Login to iEnabler using your student number and new pin.
- Click on the ‘Student Enquiry’ tab, then on ‘Certificates Seen.’
- Click on the ‘Load/View’ tab next to each document name to upload your relevant documents before logging out.
Applicants should note that these application links will only be operational during application season, so if the links do not work, applications are closed. Return to the page once applications have been confirmed to be open.
Bursaries & NSFAS
Students are encouraged to apply for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) bursary as it provides financial relief for low-income households.
They provide bursary accommodation as well as private accommodation for students who do not qualify for bursary residence.
All applicants will need to do is supply the necessary documentation such as proof of registration, proof of address and proof that they have an annual household income of less than R350 000.
