Fundi is an organisation which provides students with educational loans to fund their studies at tertiary institutions in South Africa. Both private and public learning institutions are covered.
A variety of courses are covered by the organisation. These courses include the following:
- Postgraduate qualifications
- Exectutive education programmes
- MBAs
Educational loan holders will receive funding to cover outstanding tuition fees, registration fees, textbooks, laptops, accommodation, study tools, uniforms and stationery.
Applicants are reminded to check if the institution they are applying to is accepted by Fundi before applying. Students will need to meet the basic requirements to be funded by Fundi.
Basic requirements to receive funding from Fundi:
- South African resident (Students need to provide proof of this with their ID and proof of residence)
- Permanently employed or have a parent who is permanently employed (Applicants should provide proof of this with a letter from their employer confirming this; their last receipt of salary and their latest bank statements)
- Lastly, their credit status must be in good standing as they will not qualify if they are under credit or debt review. This is so that Fundi can see that they can repay the loan that they are providing.
The organisation does not require students to pay collateral. Loan repayments may be deducted from their salary or can be paid through debit orders.
