Welcome to our Matric section. We are here to help you through this exciting, but stressful, year. 

Finding student accommodation can sometimes be quite stressful, however, no more of that. Keep on reading to find out what Richmond Central has to offer and set your mind at ease.

Richmond Central aims to provide students with high quality, fully furnished rooms, which will provide them with the perfect space for alone time and study time. They also offer communal areas where students can relax and make friends.

They pride themselves on being affordable and in a prime location. The University of Johannesburg, Wits University, shopping centres, transport hubs, and hangout areas are all located around the accommodation, for student convenience.

Parents can rest assure that Richmond Central student living is safe and secure, with 24-hour security, CCTV, and street security.

In 2021, Richmond Central will have more to offer with new features to bring their students an ultra-premium student experience, such as a FREE bus to the WITS campus.

The new features include an outdoor gym, in-house canteen, roof chill areas, game facilities, TV lounges, study and PC halls, outdoor sport and activities, and emergency power and water.

Richmond Central currently offers:

  • Single and sharing rooms
  • 4 students sharing a fully functional kitchen and bathroom.
  • Common lounges with TV, DSTV and couches.
  • Games room with TV, foosball table and pool table.
  • Interactive study area for individual and group studying.
  • CCTV & 24/7 security.
  • Cleaning of communal areas once a week.
  • In-house maintenance and building manager.
  • Wi-Fi
  • Laundry facilities

The Richmond offers 98 units that each accommodate 4 single and 2 sharing rooms.

Each bedroom is fully furnished with a single bed plus mattress, double storage built-in cupboard, desk, chair, bookshelves, and bin.

Each four-sharing unit has a fully furnished kitchen and ablutions.

Single rooms cost R5 380 per month and sharing rooms cost R4 600 per month (per student).

Tenants are required to pay a one-month refundable security deposit and a once-off non-refundable administration fee of R1,300 (incl VAT).

Monthly rates include:

  • Water
  • R75 electricity 
  • 10GIG Wi-Fi
  • Optional uncapped Wi-Fi of R1,500 (incl VAT) per annum.
