The special COVID-19 SRD grant was introduced in 2020 to help those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant helped so many people support their families while they were unable to work as a result of the virus.
Applicants of the R350 grant whose applications were declined between February 2021 and April 2021 may appeal by visiting the SRD website to access the recourse mechanism.
Lodge an appeal before 31 May 2021, as appeals will not be accepted after that date.

- Enter ID number
- Enter telephone number
- Lodge appeal
If your appeal is successful, you will receive an SMS and you will also be given instructions on what to do next.
Once you have successfully lodged an appeal, you may track your appeal.
How To Track Your SRD Grant Appeal?
Follow the steps below to track your appeal.
- Go to Sassa Appeals Website
- Enter ID number
- Enter telephone number
- Track appeal
Once you have completed those steps you will be able to view your application status.
As long as you qualify, payments will be made for the month you originally applied until April. According to SASSA payments are still in progress.
