Sassa Payment Dates
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has announced the Sassa payment dates for October's social grants as we come closer to the month and are at the end of September.
Sassa distributes more than 18 million permanent grant payments monthly which include the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.
Sassa Grant Dates For October 2025
Sassa announced the following Sassa payment dates for social grants in October 2025:
- Older Persons Grant - 2 October 2025
- Disability Grants - 3 October 2025
- Children's Grants - 4 October 2025
There is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.
How Much Sassa Grants Will Be For October 2025
- Older Persons grant - R2,315
- Older Persons (75 years and older) - R2,330
- Disability grant - R2,315
- War Veterans grant - R2,335
- Child Support Grant - R560
- Care Dependency grant - R2,315
- Foster Care grant - R1,250
- Child Support grant (Top-up) - R530 + R260
- SRD Grant - R370
Where To Collect Your Sassa Grant
Sassa beneficiaries can choose to have their Sassa grant be paid directly to their bank account.
Sassa grant beneficiaries can also collect their Sassa social grants at several payment points. These payment points include ATMs and retail stores such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite and Boxer.
