When January 2025 SRD Grant Payments Will Commence
Sassa confirmed January 2025 SRD grant payments are set to be paid to approved grant applicants between 25 January and 31 January 2025.
Payments (for clients who are approved for the month of January 2025) will be processed from 25-31 January 2025.
Beneficiaries can check their SRD status on the official SRD website to see their grant payment date.
Clients are encouraged to view their status on the SRD website for the exact date that payment will be reflected in their bank accounts.

Sassa encourages beneficiaries to confirm their exact payment dates by checking their SRD status on the official website.
- Step 1: Go to the official SRD portal at srd.sassa.gov.za.
- Step 2: Navigate to the "Status Check" section of the website.
- Step 3: Provide your ID number and the cellphone number used during your application.
- Step 4: A One-Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to your cellphone number.
- Step 5: Enter the OTP on the website to proceed.
Once verified, you will be able to see your grant payment status and the expected payment date.
SRD Grant Payment Options
Approved SRD beneficiaries can have their SRD grant directly into their bank accounts. Alternatively, grants can be collected from designated payment points, including ATMs and participating retailers such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, and Boxer stores.
Sassa has reassured recipients that there is no need to withdraw funds immediately. Once the money is deposited, it will remain safely in the account until withdrawn.
